Front Street, Hartlepool

Project Overview
Highway improvement works completed under a road opening permit and approved by Hartlepool Borough Council. The works were carried out on a heavily trafficked route, requiring careful planning to minimise disruption. Close coordination with Hartlepool Borough Council’s road space team and effective programme management helped maintain traffic flow throughout the project. Restricted working areas and extensive traffic management added complexity, making a strong focus on safety and minimising inconvenience to the local community essential at all stages.

Site Challenges
Due to the high volume of traffic on this route, the works had to be carefully and meticulously planned to minimise any potential disruption. Extensive planning with Hartlepool Borough Council’s road space team and management of works programme ensured that the impact on traffic flow within the local area was kept to a minimum during the works.
The extensive traffic management, introduced restricted working areas which added additional complexity to the project. The limitations of the working area made it essential to develop a considered strategy with a strong emphasis on safety whilst minimising any inconvenience to the local area.
Minimising disruption to the local area was a top priority throughout the project. This emphasises the need for a thoughtful and community-oriented approach when working in areas with limited space and traffic constraints.

We are satisfied with the works that have been carried out by Vista Civil Engineering at Hart Village roundabout.
Vista have at all times been professional with the project, always giving updates on what the current situation was with the works! Always available for any meetings that may
have been required to discuss any issues / problems on site! Been able to communicate and explain with ease what works you required from the workmen, going the extra mile to make sure that the job was going to be completed on time with as minimum disruption as possible!
Hopefully it wont be too long before I am working with Vista on another project in Hartlepool!
