Site Challenges
Given the location on a busy main road, it was crucial to have a comprehensive traffic management plan in place. With two local schools nearby, safety was a paramount concern. Collaboration with Transport for London was vital to communicate the changes to passengers and to establish temporary bus stops and routes during the works.
Due to there only being one access and egress point to the residential estate, it was crucial to optimise the project layout to minimise disruption. Efficient traffic flow in and out of the estate was essential to avoid congestion and delays.
Extensive communication and liaisons with the local residents, especially vulnerable ones, was fundamental. This included informing them about the project's schedule, potential disruptions, and how to access their properties during the works. Regular updates and a dedicated point of contact for residents' concerns was invaluable to ensure the project ran smoothly.
